Although much more expensive than classic desks, adjustable electric desks are a good choice. In this text, we explain what their advantages are.
Height-adjustable desks are a comfortable solution for all members of the household, regardless of age and height. With the help of a panel underneath the top, you can quickly adjust the furniture to your height. Height-adjustable desks are also important for young people growing up, as the desk "grows" with the person.
Electrically adjustable desks are also a great option for people who like to work standing up or change from sitting to standing while working. Taking a short break and raising the top helps to avoid monotony at work, which has a positive effect on focus and quality of work. Many models of adjustable desks have a memory for the settings - so you don't have to search for the height that is right for you each time over again.

Desks with adjustable tops allow you to precisely adjust their height to your height, which translates into a correct, upright position while working. Considering how much time we spend in front of the computer, correct posture is key to maintaining a healthy spine.
Adjustable desks will of course work well not only in the home, but also in the office. This solution is great for coworking spaces where there is a high turnover of office space users. Thanks to adjustable desks, every person, regardless of height, will be able to count on an ergonomic workspace.
Another reason why adjustable desks will fit well in an office space is their design. Most models feature a streamlined style that fits well into office spaces in modern office buildings.

We mentioned the arguments for buying an adjustable desk above. Let's now move on to the second question - what is the benefit of investing in an electrically adjustable desk? These types of desks are more expensive than the manually adjustable ones, but the more often we need to reposition the desk, the more cost-effective it is to buy one.
Let's assume that one desk is used daily by two people. Each of them has to adjust the height of the desk manually before starting work, which takes several seconds. If you multiply this by the number of days in a year, you would end up spending 2 hours a year on this mundane task (assuming it takes 30 seconds to adjust it once). With electrically adjustable desks, you can rely on memory so that you don't have to (or have to) manually search for the right position.
The desk should have a top at such a height that, in a sitting position, with feet flat on the floor and forearms placed on the tabletop, the angle at the elbow joint is between 90 and 110 degrees.
What does this mean in practice? For a 170 cm tall person, the desk top should be at a height of around 66 cm and for a 180 cm tall person, the height of the desk top should be around 70 cm.
For a person working standing, the angle at the elbow joint should be the same (90-110 degrees). For a 170 cm tall person, the tabletop should be at a height of 110 cm and for 180 cm tall people, the height of the tabletop should be 117 cm.
