Lack of space for lounge furniture? No possibility to place a bed and a sofa at the same time? This is a very common occurrence, especially in bedsits, teenagers' rooms or children's rooms, but not only! Nowadays, where living spaces are sometimes really small, every centimetre of space counts. However, there are many ways to eliminate this problem, and in this post we will present - in our opinion - the best solution.
What exactly is a chaise longue?
Thechaise longue - an often overlooked design element that, despite appearances, has high potential. This piece of furniture solves many design conundrums. But what is a chaise longue actually? Well, a chaise longue is a daybed that combines elements of a bed and a sofa. A characteristic feature is the headrest/backrest, which allows you to rest comfortably in a semi-reclined position. The seat is extended, in the shape of a lounger. The chaise longue traces its origins as far back as the 17th century, where they were most often made in the aristocratic style - full of rich ornamentation, quilting and velour upholstery finishes. Today, chaise longues work well in the living room, guest room, youth room or children's room. Chaise lounges and recliners are a great solution for small spaces, as you are about to find out.

What is the difference between a chaise longue with a sleeping function and a reclining armchair?
As we mentioned earlier, a chaise longue is a piece of furniture that consists of a backrest or headrest and an extended seat - a recliner. A chaise longue takes the form of a bed on which - depending on the size of the sleeping surface - an adult, a teenager or a child can sleep. The reclining armchair is a much smaller piece of furniture. In the folded position, its seat is shallower, so that it does not allow the legs to lie down. Lounge armchairs that have been enhanced with a sleeping function are unlikely to function as a bed for everyday sleeping.
A reclining chaise longue will be a great choice for those looking for comfort comparable to a bed, as well as for those who value relaxation during the day. A reclining armchair will be a hit if you need an occasional place to sleep, e.g. for guests who are staying the night, or if you live in a small bedsit where every inch of space counts, so you don't have room for a chaise longue.

Cloud MP Nidzica chaise longue - a dream chaise longue with a sleeping function
Our novelty - the Cloud MP Nidzica chaise longue is a model that combines the features of an armchair and a chaise longue. Its form consists of wide armrests, which have been taken from a lounge chair for added comfort and visual aspect. The chaise longue also has a soft back cushion that provides excellent support for the back. The wide and long recliner allows the legs to be spread freely to a lying position and the low black legs are practically invisible, which ties in with the latest trend for furniture on low legs. Cloud is a reclining chaise longue, as it is equipped with a DL sleeping function (the seat slides forward and the backrest folds flat into the resulting space, creating a sleeping surface) and, in addition, a bedding container in which you can store whatever you want. These are very useful features that contribute to making Cloud an extraordinary chaise longue. But that's not all! To increase comfort when resting and sleeping, double springing (corrugated and bonell springs) and HR foam have been used in the seat.
The rounded shapes, the choice of upholstery influences make this chaise longue with sleeping function a modern choice that can complement a living room, guest room, children's room or youth room.

The Cloud sleeping chaise longue will be great for practically anyone who appreciates comfort or needs to save space! It will fit in well in a child's room, where it could prove to be the perfect place to nap with a toddler or a place to feed or read a book. It is also a great piece of furniture for a teenager's room, where you want to combine the function of a sofa with a bed. This chaise longue has a sizeable sleeping surface in relation to this type of furniture, as much as 200x101 cm, so it can be a comfortable place for a teenager to sleep. The Cloud will also be a hit in the guest room, as it provides a comfortable rest for visiting guests, allowing the furniture to be folded away effortlessly. And, of course, it is also a good choice for the living room - for relaxing after a long day, reading a book or watching TV.
A chaise longue with a sleeping function as an alternative to a sofa bed
In small rooms where there is no room for a sofa bed, the chaise longue will be an excellent choice. The Cloud sleeping chaise longue has a sleeping surface (200x101 cm) similar to some sofas and double sofas. While an armchair with a sleeping function may not be enough for everyday use, the Cloud chaise longue will be perfect for everyday sleeping! In addition to the option of unfolding, the chaise longue is equipped with a capacious bedding box, which can be used - as the name suggests - for storing bedding, but not only. You can store textiles or other lightweight items there. With small spaces, the storage box function is sometimes very necessary, after all, it is extra space for the things we need.
