Let's start with the dimensions
The standard dimensions for desks are 120 - 160 cm wide, 80 -90 cm deep and 72 to 75 cm high. However, if your toddler is exceptionally tall or his growth rate is particularly dynamic, a desk as high as 80 cm is recommended. It is important that the child's legs, when using the desk, are free to lie on the ground or on the footrest. Therefore, remember to keep a minimum of 50 cm of free space under the desk.
Focus on functionality
Choose a desk that is sturdy, made of long-lasting materials that are dirt-resistant but also easy to clean. For extra protection, a pad can be placed on the top to further protect the furniture in the event of an unforeseen accident.
Everything in order
Cabinets, cupboards, drawers, nooks and crannies - after all, all school supplies and books have to be stored somewhere. Plenty of shelves and drawers keep the room neat and tidy. It also makes it easier to organise work and shortens the time spent searching for desired items. These are elements that will make it easier to stick to the right habits and thus achieve your goals. It is therefore advisable to choose a piece of furniture with plenty of storage space.
